Nuri Efram has no power. Born to a family of Divines, but seemingly not one of them, Nuri has been on the outskirts her entire life. When an attack on her town changes everything, Nuri is given two choices: abandon the Divine world and live with the Normals, or train to fight in the new civilian forces that have formed to counter the Dark Guardian realm’s escalating attacks. Thrust into a totally unfamiliar environment, Nuri must learn to believe in herself and see her worth, even as the people around her struggle to accept her, and the mysterious man who saved her life seems to hate her.
