The Divines
A young soldier trades her sword for books as she enrolls in a college meant for those like her with powers—Divines—so she can escape the front lines of their secret civil war. Used to isolation because of her unique and mysterious transformation, Terah must now work through trauma and fear of vulnerability to find herself, friendship, and love, even as the war is escalating around them. The Divines is a new adult contemporary fantasy romance and is Book 1 in The Divine War Trilogy. Each book has a different protagonist but has significant character crossover.
Divine Warriors
Nuri Efram has no power. Born to a family of Divines, but seemingly not one of them, Nuri has been on the outskirts her entire life. When an attack on her town changes everything, Nuri is given two choices: abandon the Divine world and live with the Normals, or train to fight in the new civilian forces formed to counter the Dark Guardian realm’s escalating attacks. Thrust into a totally unfamiliar environment, Nuri must learn to believe in herself and see her worth, even as the people around her struggle to accept her, and the mysterious man who saved her life seems to hate her. Can she learn to make friends and fight, or will she be pushed out, doomed to fit in neither Divine nor Normal worlds?
Eden Sandoval
Eden Sandoval is an Indigenous & Latine indie author who was born in Chile and grew up in Chicago. After subjecting themself to a law degree, they left the legal field to pursue their true love: telling stories and creating worlds. Now, they craft narratives with complex protagonists navigating messy worlds, weaving in themes of growth through and beyond trauma, liberation & equity, and neurodivergence & disability. When not writing, they enjoy photography, archery, attending fandom conventions, making cosplays, and staring at the lake. Eden lives in Chicago with their spouse and rescue pup.
